What we did
First off, we looked closely at the analytics from the current site, to identify if there were any significant drop-offs in the user journey from product, to basket, to checkout.
We presented PhoenixSE with a set of wireframes , a skeletal framework which is used as a visual aid to help understand the layout of the proposed new site; mapping out the new user journey which worked to combat the causes of drop-offs.
With the wireframes signed-off, we designed the new look and feel around this foundation. The site was upgraded onto the latest version of Magento and built on a responsive framework so the user experience was optimized on their device of choice.
In a competitive industry, search engine positioning is vital and so we were also asked to propose a search engine optimisation strategy in addition to PhoenixSE’s regular site upgrades.
